During the opening ceremony of the The Obama Presidential Center this month, an official portrait of the Obamas by Njideka Akunyili Crosby, was unveiled (insert jaw dropping emoji here). Njideka used family photos, historical imagery and political memorabilia to create the mixed media portrait. Her use of color and pattern is so refreshing and awe inspiring.
Remote work isn’t going away, and we’re cheering about that news. Axios reports that despite ego-driven CEOs who are determined to bring everyone back to the office, remote work continues to increase in the U.S.. In 2025, 38% of women and 31% of men did some or all of their work from home.
A few stats so you can see the increase over time:
2019- 24% of workers had worked from home
2022- 34% of workers had worked from home
2025- 35% of workers had worked from home
We love remote work because it offers employees more flexibility when trying to balance home life and work life, and we love that it eliminates commutes, which gives employees back more time in their day. The article’s findings agree with us:
“For parents, particularly college-educated mothers, it’s been life-changing: In a recent, parents explained that they were able to have children and sustain an ambitious career, thanks to remote work — which enables far more flexibility than the tether of an office ever could.”

You might be familiar with Eli McCann for his years of hilarious tweets but have you sauntered on over to his TikTok account? He is the most delightful story teller. Recently he shared about his 8th grade teacher and a book she loved. Because of the audience reaction to his story, the book is in production again. Trust us, you’ll want to watch the series for some wholesome content.
